11-18-13
Hey Everyone,

Oh man I wish it was as warm here as it is there. We’ve been working in the snow, shoveling and all sorts of stuff! We had a huge parade here on friday with floats and lights on Eveline street. It was so good! I loved it.

This week was super stressful and full of prayers. We have been talking with everyone, trying to find new investigators. There was that lady (Charlene) that  was telling you about, and were gonna teach her tomorrow. We also got a new investigator through one of our less actives, the crazy schizophrenic Lauren's nephew Dakota who stays with him every weekend. We taught them about the word of wisdom and it went super well. We committed them to come to church. Lauren has only been to church like one day this year. I tried calling them that morning with no answer. About ten minutes into sacrament meeting they walked in SOAKING wet. It was blizzarding Sunday pretty good and Lauren and Dakota rode there bikes over 30 blocks to come to church. It was so amazing. I couldn’t believe it.

So another thing we did this week. We saw a huge sign that said happy birthday Bob and Tim on this house, so we went and wrapped a “Finding Faith in Christ” dvd with some cards and stuff with our name on it. We wrote Happy Birthday on the front and gave it to the guy. He wasn’t Bob or Tim, but he was there grandpa and who knows? Maybe he will watch it and want to hear more, a little creepy but whatever hahaha.

We visited soooo many former investigators and less actives this week. It was stressful knocking so many doors, especially the ones that said on the progress record that the formers told them to never come back and yelled at them. We were able to get into a lot of houses this week though. We got into a house owned by former meth addict named Jordan who quote "loves the mormon boys and they are always welcome in my house. You guys are some soldiers, reppin God" haha he was a super friendly guy and we’re going over there on the 30th to watch the “Restoration” dvd with him.

We had some street contacting this week... haha one of them was the worst street contact in the world. We were at the waterfront of the red river. There’s a lot of christmas lights down there, so we thought it would be prime street contacting haha. All three of us saw this lady and her two daughters. We walked past made a u-turn and started talking to her, kinda surrounding her. She got creeped out pretty bad, it was so awful!

We went down to the waterfront again last night and we were the only ones there acting like retards making funny poses by the light up deer and stuff haha, and there were two girls in a car that we waved to. We got in our car and we told Elder Gardner to go give them an invite to our branch Christmas party. haha so he was really nervous, but got a card and knocked on there window while we stayed in the car, not to freak them out. Their window was frozen shut so they opened the door, and he invited them. They texted us, thanking us for the invite and there going to come! It was so good.

Today we were able to go into Winnipeg for a p-day activity because of how good of a week we had. We all got superhero shirts and smashed on everyone. We played dodgeball and basketball. haha I haven’t played a game of basketball like that in a long time. We killed everyone! It was so much fun!

Other than that, I’m just trying to stay warm! Love you all and thanks for the support.
